Story: Simon James

“Why Raven and Crow are the Same Colour” is a story of vanity from Crow, who, like all other birds of this time, looked rather plain. Raven hears the boastful words of Crow and using trickery tries to teach Crow a lesson in modesty. This story was taught to the author by his grandfather and father and now he shares it with his children. This story has been passed on through many generations from the Kwakwaka’wakw Nation.
