This is a fun play containing numerous well-known fairy tale characters all in one story. A girl finds ways to help these characters with their different problems and then wakes up, realizing that it was all just a dream.

This is an alternate kit to the Comment y aller ?. Written by AIM teacher and workshop facilitator Sylvia Duckworth, this kit is based on an original fun, fantastical play about a young girl who finds herself in an enchanted forest. As she tries to make her way back home, the girl meets a variety of fairy tale characters. In this kit, students are doing more partner/group work. By the end of this kit, most students should be able to complete their own 10-page story extensions entirely in French.

Étienne Brûlé, premier Franco-Ontarien- Reader

The Gesture Approach

The AIM is a methodology that supports students by providing strategies and techniques that ensure student language acquisition and a high level of engagement. The Gesture Approach allows students to visualize, hear, say and 'feel' the language simultaneously, resulting in rapid proficiency development.

A Literacy- and Arts-Based Approach

Through the use of story and drama, songs, raps, and dances, students are moving to the language as they create meaning. Scaffolding and cooperative learning strategies help all students - the shy, weak, and strong - to find great support and success.

High-Frequency Vocabulary

One of the most important aspects of AIM that ensures student success is the high-frequency vocabulary (Pared-Down Language) that threads throughout every aspect of this methodology.
